WESTERN CULTURE 2 (EP) - YUNG STEVIE

Sometimes when you first click on a new song or project, you’re not really sure what you’re getting into. But then there’s some that you know exactly what you’re about to hear. 💭 And at its core, Stevie’s ‘Western Culture 2’ is a self-assured project full of knocking production, a few touches of raw honesty and vividly boastful rhymes. 🎙✨ Where he does separate himself, however, is in the project’s individualistic tint, as he hops and skips over a wide variety of production without losing any hint of his usual confident stature. 🏋🏾‍♂️ He went on to prove he is a real spitter and while he may not be doing lyrical gymnastics on the beat, he still brings unique flows and non-recycled lyrics to each track he hops on. 🗣🔥 It’s a rather quick listen coming in at just six songs but it does offer a few different addicting sounds and after listening to the tape from top to bottom a couple of times through, it’s clear that he hasn’t slowed down in the least bit since the first Western Culture EP, only improved. 📈 He gave us a generous amount of good music here and with that said, something commendable about it, is his search for experimentation, especially by singing on a track like “The Mars Twin Show” which is something that really surprised me. 💯 He especially shines with his personality and honesty on songs like “Day N Nite” and “Forget Ain’t Forgiving” which were two of my personal favorites. 💎💎 Needless to say, i was ultimately impressed with the final outcome, especially how on point the transitions were on each song, it felt like one long dope movie that highlighted a creatively cinematic sense. 🎥 So go peep it if you haven’t already, cause for what it lacks, it makes up for with signs of great raw potential from him moving forward. 🔮
