TRUTH OF THE MATTER (Album) - MI$TAK

Mi$taK is an artist i’m not extremely familiar with, but I’m starting to realize that I need to tap in as soon as possible because his new project “Truth of the Matter” is surprisingly good... like really good. 🎶✨ And right off the bat on my first listen, the most evident thing about him from track to track is his uncanny ability to flow faultlessly on pretty much any instrumental put in front of him because he just kind of seems to let the beat take him wherever it pleases as he just casually tiptoe his way to the end. 🎧 And this is especially evident on the first track which serves as an extremely strong album opener taking certain elements of Drake’s Laugh Now Cry Later, bringing his own twist to it and managing to pull it off with astounding finesse. 🍜 And let’s not even get into the “Zimeshika Freestyle”, the dude was just coasting from start to finish. 🔥  But that’s not even where things get heated on this project, as on the subsequent tracks he really starts to go in and I was blown away by just how solid his lyricism was, especially on “Vile Na Bang” doing well to lay out a drill-like flow that mixes quicker lyrics at the beginning of each line without even needing a breath in between. 🗣 But that’s not to say that he doesn’t know how to slow things down either, as on tracks like Chap Chap and Soon (which is my top pick), he does well to move smoothly through slowed down instrumentation and be more introspective, all while still maintaining the same level of steady rhythm you grew accustomed to at the start of the project. 📝 And although this is my first introduction to him, this one project alone makes it abundantly clear early on that he’s definitely not an artist to take lightly. 🌟 Frankly, I’m genuinely impressed with this, no cap. 💯
