LOVE & CHAOS (Album) - JEROME

Every time I tune in to a new Jerome project, I find it hard to believe that I’ve been following along with his music for almost 2 years. At this point, he’s still as fresh and new as the day I first heard him on ”Moving Around” and to this day, his dexterity still remains obvious to me, as despite his laid-back style, he undoubtedly can flow with the best of them on any beat you put in front of him and on his new album, “Love & Chaos”, he peaceably floats over a series of laid-back instrumentals, creating a feel-good “romantically saturated” atmosphere on every song, while mixing in a combination of casual, more relaxed deliveries with much more passionate, impressive notes, like on “Proud Of Me”, “Stoney” (my absolute favorite song) and “Bado Ni Stress” (w/ Malkizy, who absolutely bodies his verse btw). 🎧🎶 It’s this ability of his to switch up his styles and adapt to different productions and sounds, that just speaks on the fact that no matter what kind of mood he’s in or sound he is going for, he legitimately never releases a bad verse, keeping his streak consistently strong.🎙 And when you actually keep this in mind while listening to his music, you’re actually able to just appreciate his form of melodic rap that much more, as his talent for laying out a solid narrative is also never lost for even a second during these moments, especially on tracks like “Face it” & “Closer”, of which are both lighthearted, airy records that he just seems to be able to knock out of the park and bring home. 📝 It’s actually quite impressive just how much his music has evolved, while still retaining some of the main aspects of his earlier sound when I first heard it, and although I still don’t think he’s getting even a fraction of the credit he deserves, the fact that he keeps experimenting with new sounds and expanding his repertoire is a testament to his promise of longevity over most of his peers. 🌟
