DAYZ BEFORE SHADEZ (EP) - EDWIN MLAYI

Edwin has slowly but surely grown into one of this city’s best underground emcees, and as always, the one thing about him that’s ever constant is that he never settles, and as he continues to make music, the sky is the limit with his Naruto-esque mentality in mind. 🌀 Throughout these 5 full songs and carefully crafted instrumentals, you get a really good feel for his form of mature production and confident lyrical flow. 🔊🔥  “Stress Reliever” being the first bass abuser on the project, is a single that will get your head bopping instantly and right off the bat, it’s the track that makes a clear sign of the raw talent that Edwin is gifted with. 🎙 On each track, it’s just a constant barrage of lyrical gymnastics, as he truly manages to capture exactly what it means to bring real energy to a project, letting out every ounce of energy he has left into his dense, chilling verses. 🗣 Moreover, his deliveries, regardless of what emotion they convey, are relentlessly enthusiastic, and further so, his lyrics are quotable in the kind of way that makes a lasting impression in any listener’s head. 💭 However, even with that, he wasn’t afraid to show his melodic side on what I believe to be the best song on the tape with “Hvngry” (Ft. R.I.Z.E), which is an anthem that is as passionate as it is his own brand of motivational street-gospel. ✍🏾 With this project, Edwin makes his presence forcefully known, and it presents his message in a diverse and engaging sonic atmosphere and stellar rhymes schemes that help solidify his stature and puts all of his chips on the table in the form of such unrivaled authenticity. 🌟 It’s an under the radar EP, that deserves attention, as it does well to shed light on an absolute prodigy in the making, with lyrical prowess far beyond his years, making it a huge selling point for fans both old and new. 💫
