D.I.Y (Mixtape) - WAVE DINERO

Dinero is a solid talent that we have posted a few times, because of his uncanny ability to use improvisational flows, and a stream of consciousness style of lyricism to deliver a ceaseless amount of memorable moments throughout each one of his songs. 💯 Now, he is back with his brand new mixtape titled “D.I.Y”, where he explores several personal subjects from death, getting older, staying on his grind, staying true to himself, his family & friends, practicing patience, and more. 📝 And while I am a little late to the party with this one, after I finally found the time to tune in and realized what I was missing out on, I couldn’t let it go unnoticed. ✅ Sonically each record boasts an evolved version of his incredible capacity to be lyrically versatile, nailing every rhyme scheme from old school rap on tracks like “LOVE” to UK-drill inspired tracks like “FORGIVENESS”. 🎭 He especially refines his bag on the track “BETTER”, (which is my personal favourite) as his punctual verses land on top of an incessant arsenal of snares and a groovy and almost latin-influenced instrumental powered by a dance-able acoustic guitar melody and full percussion that provides an excellent backdrop for him to unload his some intricate and topical lyrics. 🏆 With that being said, ‘D.I.Y’ contains plenty more tracks that do well to indicate there’s plenty of truth-telling wisdom that he has to offer, which is what makes him so different to other rappers in the scene. as he always manages to leave a lasting impression with every release, surgically cutting deep lyric by lyric with each incision stinging more than the last. 🔪With lines such as “i ain’t like these other rappers, lying through their teeth”, this tape is living proof that he genuinely embodies his lyrics for better or for worse. 🚬 And tbh, he’s top 3 for me. 🌟
