BOSSIN' UP - SIRAWA x CHIEF

BOSSIN' UP - SIRAWA x CHIEF

When Sirawa first told us he had a track with Chief, it was clear what would ensue would be something straight out of a boxing match, hits on hits on hits. 🥊🥊🥊 At just over two minutes in length, “Bossin’ Up” is a bouncy yet gritty track that provides nothing but bars for its duration. 💥 With a foundation based off some speaker busting 808s, infectious kick drums as well as lighter, more minimalistic percussion, it’s a track that provides a hasty, insecure instrumental that is sure to make any situation pop off. 😈 Bouncing off the club-catered production, the track kicks off with Chief doing their thing, carrying their infectiously fun quality into the track, with both artists bringing some greatly appreciated differentiation and originality to the table. ⚔️ For the chorus, Mwololo literally just repeats the title of the song over and over again but he does without it becoming too monotonous providing life and sound to the offering, before Adongo takes over the first verse and goes with his usual more melodic delivery, elevating the song even higher than before. 🔊As usual, his voice is subdued and straightforward, but he plays with his words and the flow of the beat just a bit to pair smoothly with the production. 🗣✨ Sirawa steps in for the final verse thriving on the rather braggadocios track with a confident tone and the same level of intense and ruthless lyricism we’d expect from him and while he usually delivers a much more aggressive and different style than his other two counterparts, it’s an ideal match for the song’s open and direct attitude, while being catchy enough to embody that anthem status beyond just the lyrical motifs alone. 🎙🔥 It’s definitely the kind of banger that’s especially perfect for bumping in the whip. 🚘
